Crypto Twitter Commentary Series #6 - 23/12/2022
Most people have day jobs and don’t have time to track every event that is happening about crypto. But being updated on everything that is going on in the industry is one step forward to be informed and better prepared.
It is part of my job as a trader to keep track of everything that is happening in the crypto space, and where best to do that? Crypto Twitter!
In this series I want to make a summary of the data and major events happening on crypto twitter every day. The goal for me is to keep a daily log of what is happening in the crypto space and why not share it also? Let’s begin.
Let’s look at the top individual content for the day on Crypto Twitter:
One of the stories of today is the investigation of Coffeezilla into Logan Paul’s project CryptoZoo. Allegedly there’s been ton of issues within the project that he describes in depth on his videos and the investors were left holding the bag. A lot of promesses were made, people trusted Logan, and the team behind the project never delivered. That and the fact of a lot of shady activity was being done behind the scenes which exposes much of the intentions behind the release of the project. Another lesson to not trust anyone blindly no matter how reliable they appear to be.
One of the top stories for the past few days was that Caroline (from FTX) pled guilty to the charges and is now helping the authorities with the case.
The other story regarding FTX is that the 250M$ bail that Sam had was paid for and he’s now seen flying first class again. This is an insane amount of money to be paid for bail. This story just gets worse and worse.
Now let’s look at the data of the top influential accounts on Crypto Twitter:
As volatility is very low and volumes are drying up heading into the holidays season, so does mentions of BTC and ETH. We can clearly see on the chart that the mentions are declining for both assets which always indicates lack of movement that leads to lack of interest.
The sentiment remains on this declining trend. Not much has changed in the markets so people naturally feel less positive about it.
